In Psalm 105:1-6, David speaks of the eternal faithfulness of God by using a number of words that really show the faithfulness of God as well as speak of His faithfulness.
  1. "Give thanks" - There is so much to thank God for, salvation, the indwelling Spirit, His word, my spouse, children and the opportunity to serve Him every day of my life.
  2. "Call on Him" - When I call on the Lord he is there to respond to my prayers, petitions and persistant desire to communicate with Him, not only about my needs, but also His design for my life.
  3. "Make known His deeds" - What better topic to speak on than the wonderful works of God in my life and in the life of others.
  4. "Sing to Him" - Worship is the opportunity to show genuine affection to the Lord God who has saved me and deserves to be glorified for all that He has done.
  5. "Talk of all His wondrous works" - The miracles of God are ceaseless toward His creation. The greatest miracle is His Son Jesus giving His life for us.
  6. "Glory in His name" - From salvation to sanctification, ultimately to our glorification all is for the glory of God. He has created us to give Him all the glory and honor.
  7. "Seek the Lord" - To seek anything or anyone other than the Lord for my life's purpose and destiny is an exercise in human futility.
  8. "Remember His marvelous works" - I may forget a lot of things, but I can never forget all that God has accomplished throughout the ages in individual lives and in human history.

David ends this first part of Psalm 105 by reminding us that we are afforded the opportunity to do two things as the result of God'e faithfulness. First we have the blessing and privilege of serving Him. Second we are His chosen ones, our heavenly Father has chosen us to bring glory to Him.
